The Leapmotor B10, launched locally in December 2025, is receiving its first over-the-air (OTA) software upgrade. Coming so soon after the EV’s launch, Leapmotor describes the OTA as ‘part of a long-term commitment to continuously improve the onboard experience for its customers, ensuring that every vehicle enhances its capabilities over time without requiring a visit to the dealership’.
The OTA introduces a one-pedal driving mode, native Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, expanded voice command functions and other refinements that make the vehicle more intuitive to use.
Single-pedal driving is self explanatory – for the most part, the driver no longer needs to use the brakes and lifting the accelerator pedal slows down the car with strong regeneration. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is available via wired or wireless connection.
Leapmotor has introduced interface updates that improve accessibility; drivers can personalise their steering wheel buttons with new multifunction settings, including shortcuts for ADAS features and drive modes. Navigation can now be displayed through a left-side split screen layout, improving visibility when using multiple applications.
The infotainment system launches faster, thanks to a new preloading ‘Quick Start’ feature, reducing waiting time upon startup. The in-vehicle life presence detection reminder has been optimised, and improvements to ACC and LCC ensure smoother deceleration when approaching curves.
This first OTA software update for 2026 started in early February and is in the rolling phase for B10 customers, who will receive an in-vehicle notification when the update is available.
Stellantis sells two variants of the B10 in Malaysia – the RM107,800 Life and the RM118,800 Design. At launch, Leapmotor announced an introductory price for the first 200 units, which brings the on-the-road without insurance price down to RM99,800 and RM109,800 respectively.
Both B10s get a single rear motor with 218 PS (160 kW) and 240 Nm (0-100 km/h in 8.0 seconds), and the only difference is in the battery – 56.2 kWh for the Life and 67.1 kWh battery for the Design, with WLTP range numbers of 361 km and 434 km. As for charging, AC is 11 kW and DC maxes out at 140 kW for the Life and 168 kW for the Design. Full specs and details here.
