Here’s the big news coming out of New York:
New York, N.Y.—In addition to the introduction of the 2027 Volkswagen Atlas that we already previewed, there were a slew of additional vehicle introductions at the 2026 New York Auto Show. Here’s a round-up of new cars and concepts that debuted.
2027 Kia EV3

This compact electric crossover has been on sale in Europe and Korea since 2024, but now we finally get the tech-forward Kia EV3 in the U.S. Slated to go on sale in late 2026, the 2027 EV3 will get up to 320 miles of electric range and can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 29 minutes. It will come standard with a North American Charge Standard (NACS) port as well as convenient Plug-and-Charge (PnC) capability. It will get standard dual 12.3-inch displays and available features like a head-up display, 360-degree camera display, blind view monitor, and multi-color ambient lighting. At launch, it will be available in five trims: Light, Wind, Land, GT-line, and GT. Pricing hasn’t yet been announced for the U.S. market, but it starts at about 36,000 Euro, which is equivalent to about $42,000.
2027 Kia Seltos

This subcompact crossover gets a big redesign for 2027. Taking some cues from the all-new Telluride, the 2027 Seltos has a more sophisticated, upright stance with an elegant lighting signature. The wheelbase increases by 2.4 inches, which helps create a roomier cabin. It will get a large mono screen that houses two 12.3-inch displays as well as standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Available up-level features include a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera displays, the digital blind view monitor, and a power memory driver’s seat. The base powertrain will be a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated (no turbo) engine, and it will be standard on the LX, S, EX, and X-Line trims. An up-level 1.6-liter turbo will be available on the X-line only. The gas-only models will be available in the summer of 2026. A hybrid model is also in the works but won’t be available until the end of 2026, beginning of 2027.
Hyundai Boulder Concept

The only concept car revealed at the New York Auto Show, the Hyundai Boulder paves the way for a new body-on-frame midsize truck planned to launch in the U.S. by 2030. As a concept, we don’t have any specs or details, but the upright stance, blocky build, and the 37-inch mud-terrain tires speak to a go-anywhere kind of capability. Additionally, the Boulder is designed to be a blank canvas that will allow for accessories to be easily added. We know there will likely be more than one vehicle built on this architecture and that it will be design, developed, and built in America as well as forged with Hyundai-produced U.S. steel.
2027 Subaru Getaway

Continuing its EV onslaught, Subaru revealed an all-new, three-row electric SUV with more than 300 miles of available range and standard all-wheel drive. Built on the same platform as the upcoming Toyota Highlander, the 2027 Getaway will deliver 420 horsepower and have 8.3 inches of ground clearance. It will get standard NACS-compatible charging and can go from 10 to 80 percent of a charge in 30 minutes. On the interior, we see a 12.3-inch digital cluster and the same 14-inch infotainment screen introduced on the new Outback. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. The Getaway will have seating for up to seven passengers and offers features such as two wireless phone chargers, customizable ambient lighting, standard heated front seats, available heated second and third row seats, standard Subaru EyeSight, and available rear camera mirror.
2027 Subaru Forester Hybrid Wilderness

For the 2027 model year, Subaru joins its Wilderness brand with its hybrid powertrain for the first time, and it revealed the 2027 Forester Wilderness Hybrid. It will have 9.3 inches of ground clearance and standard all-wheel drive. The Wilderness Hybrid will get the same powertrain as the regular Forester Hybrid, a 2.5-liter Boxer engine paired with electric motors to produces 194 total horsepower. It will come standard with Subaru’s vertical tablet-style touchscreen infotainment and a 12.3-inch digital cluster. Standard amenities include leatherette seating surfaces, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 11-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and Subaru EyeSight. The 2027 Subaru Forester Wilderness Hybrid is expected to go on sale in late 2026.
2027 Chrysler Pacifica

Though it’s not all new, Chrysler took the opportunity to show off the face-lifted Pacifica at the New York Auto Show. The whole front end is refreshed for 2027 with a new illuminated wing badge and headlight treatment. The only powertrain available is the stalwart 287-horsepower, 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, as the plug-in hybrid is no longer available. The previously spun-off base Voyager minivan is now rolled back up under the Pacifica lineup as the LX trim with a starting price of about $42,000 and the pre-refresh design. One other big addition for 2027 includes a new available blind-spot camera view as a part of the Enhanced Safety Sphere Package.
